A historic town situated on the westernmost point of Worcester County, Petersham is surrounded by peaceful countryside and conservation land. The town square has been maintained, giving it the feel of a 19th Century community. There are many historical buildings that dot the community, and the town prides itself on maintaining as many of these structures as possible. About 1,200 people reside in this tight-knit community, but new families are always welcome. We can’t leave out their curling club either! Public schools serving the community include: the Petersham Center School, Ralph C. Maher Regional School, and Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School.
